From Ordinary to Absolutely Terrific!

Three weeks ago, hubby and I took a quick trip to Southern Oregon and we found this in Roseburg!  Loved that it was solid wood and that the trim details were pretty much intact.  All the knobs – lovely!!!

We Love Blue!

The cedar chest is new in the shop today and blends so well with the other pieces.  Know what?  The square table and bed are ASCP Duck Egg and the nightstand and cedar chest are CCC’s Smoky Mountain.  Really – can you see a difference?!

Great grouping!

P.S.  Miss Sophia did the upholstery on the bed-pretty terrific addition to it we think!

A note:  Actually a testimonial I suppose.  I LOVE CECE CALDWELL’S CLEAR WAX-used it on the dresser over a custom mixed CeCe grey and it went on so beautifully I couldn’t believe it!  Way nicer than my long time favorite Annie Sloan Clear wax-sorry Annie – I still love you!

She languished in the garage… ~SOLD~

for more than 5 and 1/2 years in pieces, no less!   (I took the auctioneer’s word for it that everything was in the pile!)  I could never get all the pieces together in one spot and eventually they were buried in the middle of the garage surrounded by many larger things.   Here she is today, assembled and painted in Florence chalk paint:

IMG_8855 IMG_8856 IMG_8859Turns out there was a piece of chain and one of the drawer runners missing.  And my beloved hubby can rest at night knowing I will not be reminding him of this project again!
