Nice to begin with, Miss Sophia has updated the table with darker stain and painted the chairs in CCC’s Michigan Pine – same color as the buffet from earlier this week. LOVE the fabric!! There is no leaf for the 50″ table but it’s a great size without it too.
Nice, huh? Way to go, Miss Sophia!
A lovely combination of Michigan Pine chalk paint and darker natural finish make this vintage buffet even lovelier! Two storage areas behind the lovely doors and two nice spacious drawers for silverware and linen storage. First time we’ve used Michigan Pine but not the last!
Goodness, it’s been a little over a week with no new post-sorry!
Miss Sophia worked on this little desk and turned it into a real charmer-again with her new technique for the top and CCC’s Young Kansas Wheat. Love all the drawers! The lines are charming and the drawers are spacious. The perfect place to write a letter (a book?) , do homework, explore the Internet….
Happy November, everyone!
goes a loooong way!
There was about a 1/3 of a test pot in Navajo White left with a THICK buildup of paint around the edge to work with here. I thinned it very well and have applied two coats to both the head and the candle holder. Finished the candle holder with a little wet distressing back to the original dark metal and applied just a little wax. Still working on the head, but it covered a VERY bright turquoise SHINY coat of spray paint (what was I thinking?).
The little single salt shaker had a rusty top that I cleaned up a little and painted with two coats of Portland Rose, wet distressed and burnished – no wax. And now it is a lavender holder or could be used for hat pins, a picture holder with a few twisty wires added…the list could go on and on..
Love those test pots – they go a long way!
Forgot the before pictures again-sorry!
Brand new today in the shop are these three different but lovely pieces-enjoy!
Miss Sophia’s in Vintage White – SOLD
Miss Sophia’s in Emperor’s Silk ~ SOLD
Miss Sadie’s in a custom mix grey ~SOLD~
A note: Actually a testimonial I suppose. I LOVE CECE CALDWELL’S CLEAR WAX-used it on the dresser over a custom mixed CeCe grey and it went on so beautifully I couldn’t believe it! Way nicer than my long time favorite Annie Sloan Clear wax-sorry Annie – I still love you!
