ASCP Barcelona Orange Dining Room Table and Chairs

This set was a special product for a special lady but we wanted to share her color vision!  Miss Sophia painted her arms off to get it ready quickly and it turned out very nicely:

Terrific fabric!

From Ordinary to Absolutely Terrific!

Three weeks ago, hubby and I took a quick trip to Southern Oregon and we found this in Roseburg!  Loved that it was solid wood and that the trim details were pretty much intact.  All the knobs – lovely!!!

Brown and ordinaryCleaned her up, repaired a break and hubby started painting when I took a break:

Yep, our workshop-lol!

After two coats of Annie Sloan’s Florence and some dark wax, voila!

In all her beauty!

In all her beauty!

Florence still makes my heart sing!

We Love Blue!

The cedar chest is new in the shop today and blends so well with the other pieces.  Know what?  The square table and bed are ASCP Duck Egg and the nightstand and cedar chest are CCC’s Smoky Mountain.  Really – can you see a difference?!

Great grouping!

Great grouping! ~ALL SOLD!~

P.S.  Miss Sophia did the upholstery on the bed-pretty terrific addition to it we think!

Lovely Florence!

I meant to get this posted earlier but one set of pictures was at home and the furniture was in the shop and the two didn’t meet very quickly.  We went a different direction with the little cabinet so are only talking about the desk and bookcase  in this post from the Before Pictures.

Hubby was NOT impressed with the color and it took a long while to grow on him but that didn’t stop him from pitching in and painting.  (He had faith in me!)  Here are the After Pictures and you’ll notice we did a chalkboard and chair to match.

ASCP Olive!

What a gorgeous set this turned out to be!  Miss Sophia has painted the table base and the four press back chairs in Olive, waxed them a bit with dark wax and re-stained the top in dark walnut.  Already lots of interest from our customers and it just went on Craigslist so it won’t be here long I’m thinking.  We are all in love with this set!  (~SOLD~)

Look at the dragons!

A new look for an antique piece – ASCP Coco

This little washstand was given to me and the first time I saw it, I was in love with its lines and possibilities  (I also thought I had a picture of it but it seems not)  Hubby spent a couple three hours sanding it and we added glass knobs for access.

so many layers of paint and crud sanded down to this

Lots of people have admired her but no one stepped up to buy her so I brainstormed and came up with this – lovely, no?!

two coats of ASCP in Coco later

Today’s dilemma – do I distress and wax or buff and let her age naturally?  What do you think?
