Like almost everyone else, I adore rusty metal!! Show me pretty and rusty and I will head for rusty anytime, anywhere! (Miss D knows that from our shopping trip to the big city this week!) Sometimes, however, you have to help the piece out just a little…..
(Yes, I DO need to repaint the table-poor thing!)
closeup-keeping it real-no glamour shots here!
first coat – espresso
some finished projects-love the texture!
To achieve the look without the wait for the rust to occur, I used one coat of RustOleum spray paint in Espresso and then a coat or two of their texture paint in Autumn Brown. The texture paint seems to go a lot farther when you use a coat of regular paint under it. So for about $16, I was able to paint a total of 10 different pieces in various sizes and still have some left over. Click on the pictures to enlarge them and see the details.
P.S. RustOleum doesn’t even know how much I adore their products-this is from me only.
Make a reusable jack-o-lantern!
A few coats of chalkboard paint, some colored chalk-you are good to go!
DISCLAIMER: I am neither crafty nor artistic. I loved this idea and simply applied it to an old smudge pot!
We always look for cute things but I have to say these are some of the best we’ve ever had in the shop! Take a peek:
At least we can detect a change in the air around here so that means Fall is on its way!
Our little entry way reflects the change of seasons.
One more piece and then I mght stop spreading the love of Coco – but then again, maybe not!
The vintage dress and jacket are Coco, the pillow matches – the world must love this color as much as we do!

Found at a little sale recently, I didn’t really notice the underneath until today when I washed off the dust. What a useful piece this has been in another life-wonder where??
and underneath….all the info you need to make it work for you!
Classic lines, beautiful color and just the right fur trim for the neckline and cuffs. Add the belt and pleat at the back for more lovely style! We dreamed of coats like this when we were in high school! (at least my friends and I did) In my mind’s eye, I see Cybil Shepherd wearing it in the pages of Seventeen magazine.
(Shortly after I published this – it sold to a beautiful blonde!)
