And  her second new piece in  Provence:

Sorry for the lack of a big picture-this is in the entry and I could not get far enough away to take a better shot!

A closer view of the lovely stained top and the gorgeous color-click on the pictures to enlarge them.

Have a wonderful weekend and to all on the East Coast – our thoughts and prayers are with you!!  Be safe!!

Miss Sophia has done it again!

She took an old seen-better-days dresser, did a whole bunch of prep work, decoupaged old maps to the top, painted it with Annie Sloan Versailles and glazed and waxed it for a lovely Old World finish and terrific upcycled style.  Still a great dresser (key for the locks included) but it could be used as a small sideboard in a dining room or as a wonderful television stand with lots of storage!  The original caster wheels are an added, convenient bonus.

This weekend ……

Happy 4th Anniversary to us!!

Four years ago we opened our doors and we have had a wonderful time!  Our customers are terrific, they love our “stuff”, they get us and in celebration we are having a sale!  You are cordially invited to join us for refreshments, laughter and 20% off your total purchase!

Please check our Facebook page (upper right corner) for lots of pictures throughout the shop and come early for best selection.  We only have three sales a year so make time to stop by and see us!

Friday and Saturday, August 12 and 13

10 am until 5 pm

See ya there!!

And it is done!

The first can of Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint that is.  My first can that covered a huge antique bed that just kept slurping up the paint and its rails, the previous five projects and these last five projects.  One small can did well I think!!

The last thing painted was the round basket that I had to whitewash but I wasn’t leaving any smidge of ASCP in the can!!

On another note-our 4th Anniversary sale is this weekend at the shop – 20% off everything not already reduced.  Stay tuned for lots of pictures!!
