WooHoo – Christmas at Sadie’s a little early!

A short time back I left a comment on one of my favorite blogs wishing  Vintage Sue a very Happy Birthday!  She was generously having a giveaway for her readers to celebrate that event and I WON!!!!!!

A plump Priority Mail box soon arrived in my mailbox and here was what was inside:

Just a Quick Note

for those of you who may not know – click on the pictures for a larger version of what you see.  This new setup allows for some extra special views I haven’t used before and I LOVE the new picture options!!!

I have noticed looking back and transferring the older pics to the new host that I have improved some of my picture skills-too bad it isn’t the ones that make for awesome magazine looking pics I see on other blogs.  I’ll keep trying!!

A Fabulous Lamp to go with fabulous furniture!!

Rosie has been lucky enough to find some truly wonderful things recently so I thought I’d give you a peek!

Love the pale green upholstery-done in the 1960’s according to the family on furniture that dates to the 1930’s , they believe.

Happy November!!

I should have said that in yesterday’s entry but I was so confused as to lost pictures I forgot-sorry!!

This represents a lot of what we love in the shop:

Chippy, shabby, rusty, glamorous STUFF!!!

We are about to get busy and bring Christmas to Serendipity – earlier this year than before but NOT before Halloween!  LOL!! ~S~

Christmas is Coming!

You can tell by all the unusual things appearing in the shops and thrift stores.  For instance:

tree

Hundreds of beads and dozens of large safety pins-what a time consuming this craft must have been!  Kinda cute and if you want it, look in our Etsy Shop!  I think it just needs a big gold star on top to finish it.  Have a great weekend!  ~S~

P.S.  It is our daughter’s 27th birthday!  Happy Birthday, Sweetie!  You are worth every minute of labor and that unexpected c-section-we love you!  Mom and Dad

I’m Excited!!

This is our new blog and if you have found it already – good for you!  I haven’t published the new location on our old typepad blog yet, but I will.

This is basically a test since this is my first real post that hasn’t been imported.  My son has been instrumental (as in he’s done 98% –  if not more-thanks son!) in getting this blog started-he plugs in all the goodies and then I play.  We needed something a little more user friendly and I think this may be it!  ~S~

A bit of a new look for us……

Retro Style!    One of our talented vendors found these vintage Drexel chairs and recovered the seats  in a fabulous animal print.  They look terrific paired with this corner end table freshly painted black.  (I always thought this style was an absolutely enormous unwieldy size but it’s not so bad between two chairs).

So what do you all think??  ~S~
